Baptist thousand year's ago. Most of the youths baptized by the Spiritual Leader included Americans and other nationals.

At River Jordan, Pastor Ekwueme commended the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission for initiating the maiden youth pilgrimage and for choosing him as the Leader of the first edition. He stressed that the youth pilgrimage is a good avenue for bringing youths to God and also enrich their sense of historical data.

So far, the youth pilgrims had visited quite a number of Holy Sites in Israel such as River Jordan, the Sea of Galilee, Mountain of Temptation in Jericho, the Wailing Wall, the Garden of Gethsemane, the Holocaust History Museum, etc. Some of the youths interviewed were optimistic that the experience of the youth pilgrimage would remain memorable in their lives.
