PRESS RELEASE: Nigeria Moving Forward Under President Tinubu - NCPC Boss

Lagos, Nigeria - March 30, 2026

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Prof Stephen Adegbite, has stated that Nigeria is moving forward and will not experience backwardness under President Bola Tinubu.

Bishop Adegbite made this statement during a thanksgiving service for the successful completion of the 2025 NCPC Main pilgrimage exercise to Israel and Jordan, and a celebration of President Tinubu's 74th birthday, held at the Methodist Cathedral of Peace and Excellence, Opebi, Lagos.

He expressed confidence that Nigeria would witness wonderful times and abundant blessings under President Tinubu,s leadership, urging Nigerians to continue praying for the President's good health and long life.

Bishop Adegbite highlighted President Tinubu's achievements as Lagos State Governor, including the establishment of the Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, and praised his commitment to human capital development.

The event was attended by top government officials, including the Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Mr Tayo Ayinde, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Christian Religious Matters, Very Rev. Bukola Adeleke, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Home Affairs Lagos State amongst others.

The highlight of the service was the cutting of President Tinubu 74th birthday anniversary cake.
