Governor Yuguda stressed the need for Nigerians, irrespective of their religions to see themselves as one and work together in unity, in his words “we should put behind us our sentiments and personal interest because that is the only way peace can reign in our state and our nation”.

He commended the Executive Secretary for his visionary leadership and vibrancy which he has brought to bear in the Commission. According to him, “your hard work to build NCPC and on how to bring peace to the country is worthy of emulation.”

He thanked Mr. Opara for the good message he has brought to the state especially to members of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on the need for self sponsorship of pilgrims.

Governor Yuguda affirmed that though the state government has a lot to contend with, he would continue to encourage Christians to go on pilgrimage. Consequently, he thanked NCPC for the emphasis on the moral and spiritual transformation of pilgrimage which his administration also believes in.

He assured the NCPC boss that the challenges facing the state cannot stop his government from realizing the objectives of his administration as he is determined to secure the state and unite the people of Bauchi state.
