PEACE IS WHAT WE NEED AS A NATON- NCPC BOSS
The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) Rev. Yakubu Pam has said that what we need in our country today is peace. He gave this charge today, Tuesday 18th May 2021 while playing host to the delegation of Chaplain Ambassador for Peace Mission in his office at the NCPC Corporate headquarters in Abuja.
Rev. Pam emphasized on the importance of Peace in the country and urged Nigerians to give more energy to the work of peace. He said the word peace and peace organization have been abused. In his words, "People who work for peace have different motives, some for relevance and some for money". Adding that, Nigeria needs selfless people who would make sacrifices to help the government and people in peace building.
The Apostle of peace further informed that he would monitor the activities of the Chaplain Ambassador of Peace Mission before engaging them in his peace building and service to humanity. He lauded them for their transparency and integrity which was clearly demonstrated in the registration of the organisation as a Non-Governmental body with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
Earlier, the Chaplain General, Dr. Maurice Nwokocha who led the delegation said their purpose of visit was to seek partnership and collaboration with the Commission to enhance and harness its services and also partake in pilgrimage exercise.
