Governor Al-Makura described the NCPC boss as “A Man of great innovative ideas”; he stated that Mr. Opara has yearly introduced new ideas that would move Christian pilgrimage in Nigeria to greater heights.

He intimated that Clergies and Religious School Instructor would participate in this year’s pilgrimage exercise so that the spiritual and moral lessons learnt would be impacted on the larger society.

He urged Mr. Opara to pray for the communal crisis in the state to come to an end, in his words “always pray that God will give the citizens of Nasarawa the patience to work and accept each other as people of one destiny”.

Mr. Opara hinted his host that the Commission has introduced skill acquisition for pilgrims in its pilgrimage programme, to empower the pilgrims to acquire skill in the area of Agriculture and Technology, where Israel has advantage so that they would be able to rely on themselves rather than depending on government.

Mr. Opara further disclosed that the Commission is introducing Christian pilgrimage Lottery scheme to encourage many Christians to embark on Holy Pilgrimage by paying for tickets which qualifies one to participate in the raffle draw and the lucky winners would be sponsored to Israel with all expenses paid by the Commission.

The NCPC Scribe urged the Governor to partner with the Commission by sensitizing Christian leaders to participate in the Christian Pilgrimage Lottery Scheme.
