ONDO STATE PILGRIMS LAUDS NCPC BOSS, NATIONAL ASSEMBLY MEMBERS IN ISRAEL

The Executive Secretary, Ondo State Christian Welfare Board, Pastor Rowland Adekunwa has extolled the Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Mr. Kennedy John Opara and members of the National Assembly on the smooth operations of the ongoing Christian pilgrimage exercise in Israel.

 

Pastor Adekunwa made the commendation when the Executive Secretary, NCPC, Mr. Kennedy John Opara and some members of the National Assembly who are in the State of Israel performing their oversight function met with the Ondo State pilgrims at one of the pilgrimage sites in Israel yesterday.

 

"We are happy that you are not enjoying the comfort of your respective offices in Abuja but you have taken the pain to travel to Israel to witness the pilgrims experience in the Holy Land", Adekunwa said.

 

He stated further that the opportunity of the Ondo State pilgrims to meet with the members of the National Assembly will boost their morale and stated that the Ondo State pilgrims will be completely transformed spiritually by the end of the pilgrimage exercise.

 

One of the members of the National Assembly on the oversight visits, Senator Clifford Ordia advised the pilgrims to be good ambassadors of Nigeria throughout their stay in the Holy Land.

 

Senator Ordia implored the pilgrims to see the pilgrimage exercise as an opportunity to pray fervently for Nigeria, their state and respective families.

In his words, Hon. Oladele Olatunbosun eulogised the pilgrims on their good conducts so far and prayed that God shall bring them back to Nigeria safely on completion of their pilgrimage exercise in the Holy Land.

 

Hon. Olatunbosun advised the pilgrims to have a mind of receiving from God and replicate in Nigeria what they learn during the pilgrimage exercise on returning to Nigeria.

 

The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Mr. Kennedy John Opara thanked the members of the National Assembly for their words of encouragement to the pilgrims.

 

He said the Ondo State pilgrims are the first sets of pilgrims the distinguished senators and members of the House of Representatives are meeting since their arrival in the Holy Land.

 

The NCPC helmsman said the ways the pilgrims expressed their joy for meeting with the members of the National Assembly was inspiring.

"Pilgrimage is a tool for moral and spiritual transformation", Opara said. He said the commission believes that as more Christians perform Holy Pilgrimage to the Holy Land, they would come out spiritually transformed and the society would be better for it.

 

Mr. Opara described the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko as a friend and a man that trust God so much.
He further admonished the pilgrims that every opportunity that God gives is an opportunity to change someone life.

 

He said in his words, "The challenges of the country will be a thing of history, if we persevere and look unto God", Opara said.
He concluded by advising the pilgrims to remained focus as their coming to the Holy Land is not by accident.

 

Other members of the National Assembly who met with the Ondo State pilgrims are Senator Philip Gyunka, Hon. Kingsley Ebenyi and Hon. Gwani Gideon.
