2-BID-OPENING-FOR-AIRLIFTING-AND-GROUND-HANDLING-FOR-2018-CHRISTIAN-PILGRIMAGE

The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), held its bid opening for Air Carriers and Ground Handlers who submitted bid proposal to participate in the 2018 Christian Pilgrimage Exercise to Israel, Greece and Room.

Speaking during the opening, the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev. Tor Uja, said that the Commission is determined to render quality air lift and Ground handling services to Christian pilgrims who embark on pilgrimage to the Holy land. According to him, "NCPC has chosen as part of their principles and a Christian entity in Nigeria to show that things will work properly and biblically".

The NCPC boss emphasized that in this year's selection of Ground Handlers and Air Carriers the Commission would adhere strictly to the rules and ensure that the pilgrims get excellent and efficient services. In his words: "as many that will scale through, we want you to provide us with efficient and enjoyable services. He added, "We do not believe in compromise".

He informed that the Commission wants Nigeria Pilgrims to have best service at reasonable and affordable price. He affirmed that the Commission is doing everything humanly possible to ensure that Nigeria pilgrims who would embark on pilgrimage would go in a healthy atmosphere so that they could pray and also come back with a healthier mentality to build the nation.

He emphasized that the Commission is vehemently against pilgrims who go on pilgrimage and decides to abscond. According to him, "this is against our value system and National ethos, adding that no Nigeria has any reason to abscond as Nigeria has much more to offer".

The Executive Secretary promised the bidders that the Commission would ensure due process.In his words, "I want to assure you all that there is no preferential treatment for any bidder".

He assured bidders that the Commission would maintain transparency and integrity in the process of selecting Ground Handlers and Air Carriers in this year's pilgrimage exercise.

In his remark the Board members representing Ministry of Aviation on NCPC Board, Engr. Climent Awogbami assured the Commission that the Ministry of Aviation would give the commission its full support and ensure that pilgrims are air lifted to the Holy Land successfully this year.

He informed that a Committee would be set up to evaluate all the documents the bidders have submitted and assured that the process would be fair and transparent.

Four air carriers and seven ground handlers participated in this year's bid opening.
