The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Mr. John Kennedy Opara recently received award of Excellence and Patriotism from the National Association of Northern Nigerian Student in his office in Abuja.
The award which was presented by the President of the Association, Comrade Best Agbese was titled “Award of excellence and patriotism” which was accompanied with words of encouragement to the Executive Secretary that the award was given to him as task to motivate him to do more.
Comrade Agbese defended the award stating some of the achievements of the Executive Secretary Mr. John Kennedy Opara; amongst which he appreciated him for the care shown to Pilgrims and the attainment of zero abscondment in the last year’s Pilgrimage exercise.
Following the award presentation, Mr. Opara appreciated the National Association of Nigerian Northern Students (NANNS), for the honour given to him and admitted that the award would spur him to do more.
The Executive Secretary admonished the Association to always preach the message of hope and faith as “Pilgrimage is a tool for moral transformation and spiritual rebirth”.
